Introduction

If you've read up on my bio you'll know this: I love books! To get the opportunity to work for SapphLit, a queer book club focussed on sapphic books, was a dream come true. Nina, SapphLit's founder, and I worked hand in hand to come up with ideas for this merch drop - hats, hoodies, t-shirts - all with graphics representative of the sapphic community we are both a part of. I am absolutely in love with the result, have a look!

Queer and feminine visuals that you'll want to wear everywhere

Nina did a first merch drop last year, and wanted to come up with designs that were both inherently queer, using the imagery in the sapphic community, and also be sufficiently discrete that it would only be recognized by fellow members of our community. We played with carabiners - an iconic visual of the sapphic community, but adding feminine aspects to it such as baby pink and a bow. We also used the same baby pink and fine lines to design a book concept. The whole collection is dainty and country-club vibes inspired, while being affordable. By far one of the most creatively and personally rewarding project I've had a chance to work on!

What the client thought

Jeanne was such a pleasure to work with on my book club's latest merch drop -- she was creative, communicative, and efficient with every step of the process. I can't wait to work with her again!
